Directions to Middle Creek Campground/OHV

Since I havn't been there, these directions are tentative.  The US Forest Service givers the following direction:   "Located 8 miles north of Upper Lake on County Road 301 (Forest Road M-1)"  This road is better knows as Elk Mountain Road, which goes north out of Upper Lake.  Looks like the town of Upper Lake is about 130 miles outside of San Francisco.   So here goes:

• Take US-101 North
• Exit CA-175 east or right off the US-101 North
• Turn left on CA-29.
• Turn right on CA-20.  This should take you into town.
• Turn left on  Mendenhall Ave.
• Mendenhall Ave turns into Elk Mountain Rd.  
• Presumably go 8 miles north on Elk Mountain Rd, and you should reach the campground.
• These directions will be updated as soon as I or someone else, provides directions based on experience.
